Job Description:
The role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Reach Out and Read (ROR) program at 24 sites in Northwest Ohio (under the supervision of the UT Dept of Pediatrics) and providing program technical support and program advocacy for ROR Ohio’s 200 sites in primary care offices (under the support of national ROR, Inc. and through a contract with UT/ROR Inc.). This role works autonomously as the only permanent employee for UToledo and gives day to day work direction to the volunteers and site champions to enhance and grow the program for Ohio.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, educational or related field required.
• Experience directing a grant-funded program (financial responsibility, solicitation of
grant funds, coordination of program assessment) required.
• Financial experience – budget monitoring/accounting required.
• Experience directing volunteer workers preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
• Must possess strong background of organizational, communication and resource
skills
• Ability to plan and organize work in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner.
• Ability to train, direct and oversee the work of others.
• Ability and willingness to learn new practices, including new technology relative to
university and departmental priorities.
• Must possess valid driver’s license as position requires frequent local travel in the
community.
