Job Description:
This is a full-time secretarial position assigned to the Department of Exercise & Rehabilitation Sciences (DERS). Responsibilities of the position include: managing the business functions of DERS; managing course scheduling; processing faculty, graduate assistant, and federal work study (FWS) student hiring paperwork; monitoring and tracking
expenditures; generating budget reports; assisting in the coordination and processing of new student admissions and orientations; assignment and supervision of federal work study (FWS) students; plan & coordinate DERS job fair(s), recruitment events, and prospective student visits; and other duties as assigned by the Office of the Chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree required in secretarial science, business, management, closely related field or
equivalent education and experience.
• At least one (1) year secretarial experience.
• Candidate must pass a Typing Skill & Accuracy Test (30 wpm).
• Candidate must pass the Secretarial Assessment Test.
• Candidate must be able to utilize all aspects of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Knowledge of Banner, Web Report Library, Astra, Concur, and Handshake is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS preferred
