Job Description:

The Associate Director, Talent Acquisition directs, organizes, plans, and develops the implementation and administration of talent acquisition strategies and full recruitment cycle that align with the University’s strategy, brand and current and future talent acquisition needs. This position provides leadership and oversight for the University’s Recruiters and HR Specialists. Responsibilities also include managing the processing, administration, and review of all day-to-day operational activities associated with talent acquisition and personnel action requests for the University and UToledo Health. The associate director implements and improves processes and procedures related to all phases of talent acquisition activities to support a positive candidate experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA, MSA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources or related experience with talent acquisition or recruitment expertise.
• Previous experience in a higher education or hospital environment preferred.

At least one (1) year experience supervising professional staff is required. Demonstrated success in leading a talent acquisition team is preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in program development and administration.
• Understanding of general HR practices and policies.
